Roots of Park Street Lodge
Our historical roots are traceable to the formation of Grand Master’s Lodge on 13 August 1759. The Lodge held meetings at various London locations, the earliest known of which is the London Coffee House, Ludgate Hill from 1787 to 1789. It grew in members and successive Lodges were formed as follows:
1759 – Grand Master’s Lodge No 1
1829 - Hertford Lodge No 403
1871 – Gladsmuir Lodge No 1385
1874 – Halsey Lodge No 1479
1899 – St Albans Lodge No 2786
1938 – Welwyn Garden City Lodge No 5748
1945 - Verulam Lodge No 6131
1974 – Park Street Lodge No 8556
